London City Airport has opened a new business lounge at its Private Jet Centre, officially launching the facility on March 20. Located about a five-minute drive from the main terminal, the lounge provides a convenient and comfortable option for travelers seeking a quieter pre-flight experience.
Guests can use a complimentary taxi shuttle between the main terminal and the Private Jet Centre. Access to the business lounge is available to passengers of any airline and is priced at $43 per person. The lounge accommodates up to 30 guests and features handmade furniture, a flat-screen TV, charging stations and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Food and drink are included in the entry price: a buffet of cold dishes, snacks and alcoholic beverages is provided at no extra charge. To ensure smooth operations and security compliance, passengers must present a valid boarding pass and check any luggage before entering the lounge.
Passengers are advised to allow at least 30 minutes to return to the terminal via the taxi transfer and clear security before their flight. The business lounge complements the airport’s existing first-class lounge, which offers additional services such as bag drop and pre-transfer security clearance directly before boarding. First-class lounge access is priced at $117 per person.
Chris Clayton, customer service manager at the Jet Centre, commented that the team prioritizes passengers’ needs and aims to make the airport experience both memorable and stress-free. London City Airport served 4.5 million passengers last year, with more than half traveling for business, making enhanced lounge options a timely addition.
