Aeroflot has expanded its fleet with the delivery of a new Airbus A321. Named “S. Diaghilev” in honor of Sergey Pavlovich Diaghilev, the plane features a two-class layout and seats 170 passengers. Operating from its Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) hub, the Russian flag carrier now serves more than 120 domestic and international destinations worldwide with a fleet of 143 aircraft.
The carrier’s Airbus A320 family fleet comprises 90 aircraft—including A319, A320 and A321 models—with an average age of around five years. The addition of the new A321 reinforces Aeroflot’s strategy to modernize its fleet and maintain reliable service across its network.
