Delta Launches New Raleigh–Durham to Paris Route

Delta Air Lines will expand its transatlantic network with new nonstop service between Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). Tickets are now on sale and flights will begin May 12, 2016.

The route will be operated in coordination with Delta’s European joint venture partners—Air France, KLM and Alitalia—using 164-seat Boeing 757-200ER aircraft.

From Delta’s joint-venture hub at Paris CDG, passengers gain convenient connections to more than 75 onward destinations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This new nonstop will become Delta’s 13th destination served from Paris and the only nonstop link between Raleigh-Durham and Charles de Gaulle.

“For business or leisure, we look forward to serving our customers across the Atlantic as we strengthen our relationship with the region, and the region’s ties to the world,” said Bob Somers, vice president of global sales for Delta Air Lines.

Delta is the largest carrier at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, offering more than 60 daily departures. The new Paris service is the latest in a series of Delta investments in the Research Triangle region, an innovation and academic hub anchored by Duke University, North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Premium passengers at the Delta Sky Club in RDU can now enjoy enhanced food selections, upgraded beverage options, Starbucks coffee and an automated, self-service espresso machine.
