Aeromexico Expands Monterrey’s Global Flight Network

Aeromexico is expanding its international network from Monterrey (MTY) in northern Mexico with a new route to Miami (MIA) launching this spring. The airline will operate the daily service using 76-seat Embraer 170 aircraft beginning March 26.

“The addition of Monterrey–Miami service is a key element in our strategy to strengthen our second-largest hub in Mexico this year,” said Anko van der Werff, chief revenue officer at Aeromexico. “With Miami as a new connection, Monterrey will offer its ninth international destination, reinforcing our position as the preferred carrier for travelers seeking fast, convenient access to the United States from cities such as Aguascalientes, Bajío-León, Chihuahua, Ciudad Juárez, Guadalajara, Hermosillo, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Tampico and Toluca.”

From Monterrey, Aeromexico now serves 25 domestic and international destinations. Recent additions to the route network include Torreón (TRC), Tokyo (NRT), Houston (IAH) and New York (JFK), further enhancing connectivity for passengers traveling through this growing hub.
