Sardinia Adventure Guide: Top Outdoor Activities and Hidden Beaches

Love taking craft classes and cooking workshops in authentic, inspiring settings? At Su Gologone, an iconic hotel in Sardinia’s Oliena region, you can choose from hands-on activities or immerse yourself in the new April in the Wild Experience. Available through April 30, this seasonal escape uses the property’s natural surroundings to help guests relax and renew. Meals highlight fresh local produce and seafood prepared in traditional Sardinian recipes.

The package includes a hands-on cooking lesson with a tasting of regional breads, a guided wine tasting, a farm-to-table breakfast and an à la carte Sardinian supper. Guests enjoy complimentary minibar access and unlimited use of the gym, mini golf and tennis courts. Each visitor receives a gift of sweet local almonds and has the chance to attend a live performance by the traditional vocal group Tenores.

Families are welcome: children receive a dedicated amenity, and there are optional add-ons for outdoor enthusiasts, including guided nature hikes, cycling and canoeing expeditions. For additional relaxation, guests can book a half-hour massage at the hotel’s wellness center.

Throughout April, travelers can also join the Detoxing in the Wild program, offered in three-day or one-week formats. Led by Transpersonal Psychologist and Theta Healing instructor Carmen Nicolescu, the program blends meditation practice and bodywork with nutrition education. Daily morning and evening meditation sessions help participants cultivate calm and presence. Therapeutic offerings include a 30-minute foot detox therapy and a choice between craniosacral therapy or an intuitive body reading, plus a full-body lymphatic drainage treatment and one additional massage.

The program features a 90-minute Integrative Nutrition workshop that focuses on balanced, detox-supportive meals designed to nourish while promoting gentle purification. Guests dine on thoughtfully prepared menus created to complement the wellness work. The experience culminates in participation in the Ayni Despacho Shamanic Ceremony, a communal ritual intended to honor reciprocity with the natural world and support emotional and energetic release.

Su Gologone’s setting—surrounded by Sardinia’s rugged landscape and local agricultural traditions—reinforces the program’s focus on reconnection and renewal. Whether you prefer creative workshops, outdoor adventure or a structured detox and restorative regimen, the hotel offers a variety of ways to slow down, learn new skills and leave feeling refreshed.
