Atlas Ocean Voyages recently announced it is building its first-ever luxury expedition sailing yacht.

The new Atlas-class vessel is an eco-friendly exploration yacht with hybrid propulsion and solid sails. Atlas Adventurer is purpose-built for global exploration, features advanced marine systems and is equipped with three carbon masts and solid sails. When sea and wind conditions permit, these elements improve operational efficiency and enable periods of zero-emission cruising.

Engineered for worldwide discovery, Atlas Adventurer is a 26,000-gross-ton luxury expedition sailing yacht measuring 690 feet in length. The yacht will feature dual-fuel engines and electric-hybrid propulsion, supported by a large 9-megawatt marine battery system that sustains higher speeds even in light wind and enables virtually silent operation. The design includes zero-speed fin stabilizers, two vertical fin stabilizers, a reinforced hull and Ice Class 1B (Polar Category C) capability for polar and challenging conditions.

The yacht will accommodate up to 400 guests with a crew of 275 and offer all-suite accommodations across every category. Guests can expect increased living space and upgraded amenities, seven dining venues, five lounges and cocktail bars, two outdoor bars, an expanded fitness and wellness center, and a large swimming pool. Purpose-built expedition facilities include a fleet of Zodiacs, a luxury motorboat and a marina platform with an ocean pool for easy water-based exploration.
Scheduled to set sail in late 2028, Atlas Adventurer will operate itineraries across Asia and Africa, bringing a new option for guests seeking immersive, environmentally conscious expedition travel in remote and culturally rich regions.
