Mandarin Oriental has confirmed a second property in İstanbul, set to open in 2022, which will also include branded residences. The development comprises three standalone, newly constructed towers located close to the Central Business District. One tower will house 158 guestrooms and suites along with 16 serviced apartments, while the remaining two towers will contain 251 luxury residences.
Shared social facilities are designed to enhance both residents’ and guests’ experiences and will include three restaurants and bars, flexible meeting and event spaces, multiple outdoor areas and terraces, a spa, a fully equipped fitness center, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The residences are planned with generous private gardens and offer Bosphorus views, plus access to the hotel’s services and amenities such as the fitness facilities and concierge services.
James Riley, Group Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental, commented on the expansion: “We are delighted to be announcing a second Mandarin Oriental property in İstanbul, together with an exciting luxury residential project. We look forward to extending further the group’s presence in one of the world’s most historic and vibrant cities.” He added that operating more than one Mandarin Oriental in a single city has been successful in other locations: “Operating two complementary hotels in a single city is something that the group has already done successfully in Hong Kong and will soon do in London. We believe there is room for more than just one Mandarin Oriental hotel in certain select destinations around the world.”
The İstanbul project aims to blend luxury hospitality with residential living, offering owners and guests a curated lifestyle that combines private living spaces with the services and conveniences of a five-star hotel. With its strategic location near the Central Business District and views of the Bosphorus, the development targets those seeking high-end urban living and international-standard hotel services in a historic and dynamic city.
