Stay at The Hay-Adams During Washington D.C. Cherry Blossom Season

The Hay-Adams in Washington, D.C. is preparing for the return of large crowds during cherry blossom season, which runs from March 20 through April 17. The hotel will offer several seasonal specials for guests who want to enjoy warmer weather and the city’s iconic blossoms.

The Hay-Adams’ signature restaurant, The Lafayette, will feature a fixed-price, Japanese-inspired three-course dinner menu priced at $70. The menu begins with an amuse-bouche and a cherry Kir Royal, followed by a choice of spring vegetable salad or yellowfin tuna tartare. Entrée selections include caramelized Chilean sea bass or a Black Angus strip steak, and the meal concludes with a chocolate panna cotta for dessert.

At the hotel’s Off The Record Bar, bartenders will serve a seasonal cocktail named the Off The Record Blossom. This house specialty blends gin, maraschino liqueur, lemon juice, crème de violette and a limoncello-marinated cherry for a floral, slightly citrus-forward drink that complements the season.

Each day of the Cherry Blossom Festival, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., executive pastry chef Josh Short will offer guests complimentary chocolate-and-cherry macaroons in the lobby, providing a sweet way to celebrate the blooms and welcome visitors.

Guests who want to extend their visit can book the Cherry Blossom package. The offer includes luxury accommodations, a welcome amenity of chocolate espresso and cherry cake, and daily breakfast when booking a stay of three nights or more. Rates start at $469 per night, and the package is available throughout the festival dates.
