Cavallo Point Lodge presents the three-day 2015 Lexus Culinary Classic, taking place March 6–8. Set in scenic Sausalito just across the Golden Gate Bridge, Cavallo Point pairs spectacular views and outdoor activities with refined dining. The weekend features five distinct food and wine experiences and showcases premier wines from Napa Valley, Sonoma and Marin County.
The festival opens Friday evening with “Seasonal Flavors of America,” a four-course dinner prepared by an ensemble of acclaimed chefs: Kyle Koenig of Topping Rose House, Joseph Lenn of Blackberry Farm, Sunny Jin of The Allison Inn & Spa, and Justin Everett from Cavallo Point Lodge. Each course highlights seasonal ingredients and regional influences.
Saturday’s schedule offers a mix of hands-on and tasting events. “Chow Italia! A Hands-On Cooking Experience” guides participants through classic and contemporary Italian techniques. Somm Phenom features a guided wine tasting led by Master Sommelier Carlton McCoy, providing insight into pairing and tasting methodology. The day concludes with Feast Among the Vines, an elegant wine-paired dinner showcasing local vintners and seasonal produce.
Sunday’s centerpiece is the Lexus Grand Tasting, which brings together 11 Lexus Hotel Partner chefs from around the country alongside 18 Napa vintners. The Grand Tasting offers guests the chance to sample diverse culinary styles and top-tier wines in a lively, social setting.
Individual event tickets are available, or guests can purchase the All Access Events pass granting admission for one person to every event for $700. In addition, Cavallo Point offers the Lexus Culinary Classic Weekend package, which includes tickets to all five events, a three-night accommodation, daily breakfast and select amenities, with pricing starting from $2,100 per couple.
This annual culinary weekend blends hands-on instruction, curated tastings and multi-course dinners to celebrate regional ingredients and the winemaking traditions of Northern California, all within the historic and naturally beautiful setting of Cavallo Point.
