Trump Adds Golf Club to His Properties: What It Means for Fans and Investors

The Trump Organization has acquired Doonbeg Golf Club in County Clare, Ireland. Set along the Atlantic coast, Doonbeg joins the Trump portfolio as its 16th golf club and marks the brand’s first Trump Hotel Collection property in Ireland.

Renamed Trump International Golf Links, Ireland, the property spans more than 400 acres and features an 18-hole championship links course. The Lodge at Doonbeg includes 218 hotel suites, a spacious spa and several dining venues, all of which will be operated by the Trump Hotel Collection.

“I am thrilled to announce that we have purchased yet another incredible golf resort,” said Donald J. Trump, chairman and president of the Trump Organization. “From Trump National Doral, Miami to Trump International Golf Links, Scotland, known as ‘the greatest golf course in the world,’ we only have the best. Doonbeg is an already terrific property that we will make even better — it will soon be an unparalleled resort destination with the highest standards of luxury.”
