British Airways Revamps In-Flight Menu with New Dining Options

British Airways has enhanced its in-flight dining with an upgraded World Traveller catering program, bringing improved variety and quality to long-haul economy service.

The updated menus include welcome pretzels served with drinks, a full four-course main meal featuring a starter, entrée, dessert, cheese and biscuits, plus a roll and bottled water. Depending on flight duration, passengers may also receive a second meal, regional dishes tailored to the destination, Magnum ice creams, and a Tuck Box with chocolates and crisps. Longer overnight flights now offer a hot breakfast, and extended journeys may include a Graze movie snack box. Complimentary drinks are available from the onboard bar throughout the flight. Well-known brands featured in the refreshed catering lineup include Pots & Co., Nutri-Grain, Dairy Milk, Twix and Kit-Kat.

“Our customers tell us that when they’re taking a long-haul flight, great food and beverages make a real difference to them. It’s a huge driver of customer satisfaction so we want to make sure we deliver a great experience. With this multi-million pound investment we’ve focused on introducing more quantity and quality to the catering, delivering tasty meals and great snacking options throughout the flight,” said Carolina Martinoli, director of brand and customer experience at British Airways.

Martinoli added that the new four-course main meal was developed by the airline’s team of chefs to retain flavor at 35,000 feet, and that regional meal options have been created to reflect different routes.

The catering enhancements were rolled out in January, and British Airways updates its menus every six months to provide regular variety for frequent flyers.
