SWISS Announces New Business Class Lounges Coming to Zurich Airport

Swiss International Air Lines is expanding its investment in fleet, onboard products and passenger services by opening two new lounges dedicated to business class and Senator-status travelers at Zürich Airport.

Both lounges will be located in Dock E and are scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of this year, positioned conveniently close to the departure gates that serve SWISS long‑haul flights.

The combined space totals 21,527 square feet and includes a terrace with panoramic views of the airport, runways and the Alps. The two separate facilities are designed to meet different passenger needs: the Senator Lounge will provide a staffed bar and a range of freshly prepared meals, while the SWISS Business Lounge will offer a similarly varied food selection in a relaxed, functional environment.

Each lounge has been planned to accommodate significant passenger volumes while maintaining comfort and service quality. The Senator Lounge will seat up to 175 guests and the Business Class Lounge will seat up to 200. Both spaces emphasize comfort, modern design and efficient access to boarding gates to streamline the pre‑flight experience for premium travelers.

With these new lounges, SWISS aims to enhance the overall travel experience for frequent flyers and business travelers, aligning lounge amenities with the carrier’s broader improvements across its fleet and customer services. Travelers can expect contemporary seating areas, dining options prepared on site, and outdoor terrace space for fresh air and scenic views prior to departure.

These additions reflect SWISS’s ongoing focus on providing a consistent premium experience from ground services through to in‑flight products, ensuring that passengers traveling in Senator or SWISS Business classes benefit from dedicated facilities designed for comfort, convenience and a calm start to their journeys.
