Casa de Campo, the expansive 7,000-acre luxury resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic, has announced that renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli will perform on April 4 to launch the resort’s 2015 concert season. The concert will take place at Altos de Chavón, the 5,000-seat Grecian-style amphitheater, with the performance starting at 8 p.m.
Bocelli, who has sold more than 80 million records worldwide, has headlined sold-out shows at major venues including Carnegie Hall, the Vienna State Opera and the Metropolitan Opera House. A distinguished interpreter of the Italian vocal tradition, he has recorded a wide range of operatic repertoire such as La Bohème, Tosca, Il Trovatore, Werther, Pagliacci and Carmen, among others. Beyond his music, Bocelli’s Andrea Bocelli Foundation supports scientific research, poverty alleviation and universal primary education, promoting messages of hope and resilience.
Tickets for the concert start at $107 for general admission, $265 for VIP and $717 for special guest packages. To celebrate the event, Casa de Campo is offering a special package rate of $557 per night per guest. The package includes a concert ticket, accommodations, meals and beverages, plus unlimited horseback riding, tennis and non-motorized water sports at Minitas Beach. This offer is available from March 29 through April 8 and requires a minimum three-night stay.
Casa de Campo is conveniently located five minutes from La Romana International Airport, with direct service from carriers such as JetBlue and American Airlines. Santo Domingo (SDQ) and Punta Cana (PUJ) airports are also within easy reach.
