How Enterprise’s Donation Program Supports Local Communities

The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation contributed $20 million to food banks worldwide as part of its Fill Your Tank initiative.

Launched in October 2016, the nationwide effort is a cornerstone of the foundation’s 60th anniversary campaign, which aims to provide $60 million in donations to combat hunger and food insecurity. The program collaborates with hunger-relief organizations such as Feeding America, Food Banks Canada and the Global FoodBanking Network to maximize reach and impact.

“The Fill Your Tank initiative has made a measurable difference for community food banks and pantries around the world, and we are pleased to continue our work with hunger-relief partners in 2018. Our employees have a long history of supporting food banks and pantries in the neighborhoods we serve, and their dedication continually inspires us,” said Carolyn Kindle Betz, senior vice president and executive director of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation.

“We began Fill Your Tank at the end of 2016 to draw attention to a pressing issue and to strengthen the communities where our employees live and work. Food insecurity affects thousands of towns and neighborhoods globally and often does not receive the attention it deserves,” Kindle Betz added.

“The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation’s annual donation is critical for the 46 million people we serve. This contribution helps us address immediate needs and expand programs to support populations that may become food-insecure in the future,” said Matt Knott, president of Feeding America.
