With works by artists Joel Otterson, Larry Bell and noted Native Apache painter, sculptor and illustrator Allan Houser featured throughout, Denver’s new The ART Hotel makes a bold creative statement in the city’s downtown cultural district. The hotel’s art collection, curated by former Denver Art Museum curator Dianne Vanderlip, is integrated across public spaces, meeting rooms and guestrooms to create an experiential stay. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the interiors with natural light, enhancing the presence of paintings and sculptures in every area. The dining room at FIRE includes a custom commission by Otterson—chandeliers assembled from found objects—alongside bespoke installations by Bell.
In the realm of culinary art, executive chef Chris Jakubiec—formerly of The Jefferson Hotel in Washington, D.C.—crafts seasonal, ingredient-driven cooking with a focus on Colorado produce and proteins. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu highlights Colorado lamb and beef as well as regionally inspired breakfast specialties. One standout is the Bison Benedict, featuring bison striploin, poached farm eggs, breakfast potatoes and green chili hollandaise. After dinner, guests can step out onto the restaurant terrace to enjoy views of the Rocky Mountains and a large-scale Allan Houser sculpture. The terrace provides a relaxed setting to savor the landscape and a handcrafted cocktail, such as the Vanilla Old Fashioned or the Colorado Pomegranate Cosmo made with local vodka, pomegranate liqueur, fresh lime and a touch of cranberry.
The ART Hotel blends contemporary hospitality with a strong sense of place through its curated art program, light-filled interiors and locally influenced cuisine. Artworks are thoughtfully sited to create moments of discovery throughout the building, while the culinary program emphasizes regional flavors and creative presentation. Whether visiting for business or leisure, guests experience a hotel that celebrates art, design and the distinctive culture of Colorado—bringing together meaningful art installations, well-crafted dishes and sweeping mountain views for a memorable stay.
