Alaska and Singapore Airlines Form Strategic Partnership for Expanded Routes

Alaska Airlines and Singapore Airlines have announced a new partnership that brings tangible benefits to travelers. Starting Sept. 27, members of Alaska’s Mileage Plan and Singapore’s KrisFlyer will begin earning miles when flying on either carrier. Mileage Plan members will also be able to redeem miles for Singapore Airlines awards in the future; a launch date for redemptions has not yet been announced.

The collaboration also includes plans for a codeshare agreement, which will expand booking options and improve connectivity. Once implemented, the codeshare will allow customers to book travel through either airline while accessing flights operated by both carriers, reducing transfer complexity and improving schedule options between North America and Asia.

Tan Kai Ping, senior vice president of marketing planning at Singapore Airlines, said the partnership strengthens connections between Singapore and the North American market. It increases codeshare destinations and enhances KrisFlyer benefits, giving customers more flexibility when planning international trips.

Andrew Harrison, chief commercial officer at Alaska Airlines, noted that the tie-up lets guests experience Singapore Airlines’ renowned inflight service while still enjoying Alaska Mileage Plan benefits on West Coast–Asia routes.

The new relationship is expected to create smoother travel experiences, more route choices, and added value for frequent flyers on both networks. Travelers should watch for further announcements about the codeshare start date and the specific timeline for Mileage Plan redemptions on Singapore Airlines flights.
