Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos now presents Tide to Table: Luxury Fishing Adventure & a Beachside Sashimi Dinner, a curated experience that transforms a classic deep-sea fishing trip into a full culinary journey. This program pairs Los Cabos’ world-class sport fishing with an intimate beachfront dining event that features the day’s fresh catch prepared by resort chefs.

The day begins early with a personalized Mexican wake-up delivery to guest suites. Rather than a phone call, a friendly knock brings a basket of warm sourdough conchas, crema de rancho, homemade fruit jam and a steaming pot of café de olla infused with cinnamon and spices. Guests also receive sun-protection apparel, a hat and a custom Yeti thermos for the boat outing.

Before departure, a Marine Concierge provides a pre-expedition briefing on seasonal fish species and fishing conditions. Guests spend roughly 6.5 hours at sea, taking advantage of Los Cabos’ unique location where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez—an area celebrated for its abundant marine life. Anglers may encounter striped marlin, blue marlin, dorado, yellowfin tuna, sailfish and roosterfish. The Marine Concierge shares expert insights into local marine ecosystems while professional photographers document the trip and an onboard chef ensures guests remain well nourished throughout the day.

Back at the resort, the experience shifts to restoration with a Post-Fishing Rejuvenation Ritual. Guests enjoy a 15-minute in-suite shiatsu chair massage to ease muscles after time on the water, followed by delivery of a Natura Bissé skincare kit. The kit includes cleanser, moisturizer, eye cream and sunscreen to replenish and protect sun-exposed skin.

The day culminates with a beachfront sashimi dinner at sunset. A private cocktail hour with a dedicated mixologist sets the tone before chefs prepare the freshly caught fish into an elegant selection of sashimi and sushi. Tuna and dorado are sliced tableside and paired with house-made soy reductions, ponzu and freshly grated wasabi. Seasonal garnishes inspired by Baja flavors elevate the presentation, and dishes are served family-style at a candlelit table on the sand. After dinner, guests may return to their suite for a soak in the in-room Jacuzzi prepared to their preference, with champagne and dessert served tub-side.
