Emirates is introducing paid lounge access at Dubai International Airport, allowing passengers without complimentary lounge privileges to buy access to its business- and first-class facilities.
Entry-level Skywards members (Blue tier) can purchase a four-hour session in Emirates’ business-class lounges for $100. For those who prefer the first-class environment, a $200 fee grants access to the first-class lounges for the same four-hour period.
Existing Gold and Silver Skywards members, who already receive complimentary access to Emirates’ business-class lounges at Dubai International, will be able to upgrade to the first-class lounges for $100.
This paid access option applies only to Emirates’ lounges at Dubai International Airport and is available to passengers traveling on an Emirates flight or on a Qantas codeshare flight. Access is subject to capacity restrictions, and availability may vary.
Payments for paid lounge entry must be made by credit or debit card; cash and Skywards miles are not accepted. Emirates emphasizes that these paid options do not change the current complimentary lounge entitlements for Skywards members who already qualify for free access.
The new offering provides more flexibility for travelers who want lounge amenities without having earned complimentary access through status or ticket class. Travelers should check availability at the time of travel and confirm any specific terms or restrictions that may apply.
