SkyTeam opened a new airport lounge at Vancouver International Airport last month. This lounge is the alliance’s seventh branded location worldwide and its first in the Americas. It is situated next to gate 53 in the international terminal’s new Duty Free area.
The lounge occupies 528 square meters and is arranged in two distinct wings. Large floor-to-ceiling windows provide natural light, and seating is available for up to 128 guests. Facilities include shower rooms, a dedicated business area, and a TV lounge for relaxation before departure.
Culinary offerings are designed to reflect the region, with a noodle bar and buffet featuring items such as West Coast smoked salmon. The beverage selection highlights local producers, including beers from area microbreweries and wines from regional wineries.
Access is available to SkyTeam Elite Plus members, as well as passengers traveling in business and first class on SkyTeam member airlines. The Vancouver facility complements the alliance’s other branded lounges located in Dubai (DXB), London (LHR), Hong Kong (HKG), Sydney (SYD), Istanbul (IST), and Beijing (PEK).
“Vancouver is a key SkyTeam gateway between the rest of Canada, the United States, Asia and Europe. A shared lounge enables our members to offer an elevated airport experience to their top customers, while strengthening our brand in the market,” said Perry Cantarutti, CEO of SkyTeam.
