Cintas has launched a new app designed to help travelers locate clean restrooms while on the road. Called Got to Go, the app aims to reduce the common frustration of finding sanitary facilities during trips and busy travel seasons.
The app displays restrooms on a map using a simple color-coded system: green indicates top-rated, well-maintained restrooms; yellow marks lower-rated or less clean facilities; and blue denotes unrated locations. Users can switch between the map view and a list view that sorts restroom options by distance, making it easy to find the nearest available facility.
Tapping any restroom on the map or list reveals detailed information. Ratings reflect factors such as overall condition, availability of supplies, cleanliness, odor, and whether the facility is publicly accessible. Got to Go integrates with Google Maps and Apple Maps to provide turn-by-turn directions, and it allows users to filter results by location type—including convenience stores, restaurants, retail stores, and public buildings.
“No matter where your road trip takes you this travel season, Mother Nature will call and you will want a clean restroom when she does,” said Jillian Bauer, marketing manager at Cintas. “With spring break road-trip season in full swing, the Got to Go app will help travelers across the country find clean and sanitary restrooms when they need them most.”
In addition to restroom listings, the app highlights nominees from Cintas’ Americas Best Restroom contest, showcasing some of the most notable and memorable facilities across the country.
