Air Berlin Codeshare Flights: Routes, Partners, and Booking Tips

airberlin and Bulgaria Air will begin a codeshare partnership this month on selected European routes to provide passengers with improved connections. Effective Jan. 14, airberlin will place its code on Bulgaria Air flights between Sofia (SOF) and Berlin (TXL), Frankfurt (FRA) and Vienna (VIE), marking the introduction of non-stop service between Vienna and Sofia. At the same time, Bulgaria Air will add its FB code to several flights within airberlin’s network, covering domestic German sectors from Berlin to Düsseldorf (DUS), Cologne (CGN), Frankfurt and Stuttgart (STR), as well as international services from Berlin to Copenhagen (CPH), Stockholm (ARN), Gothenburg (GOT) and Helsinki (HEL).

Through this codeshare arrangement, travelers originating in Sofia will gain access to airberlin’s broader route network, including long-haul connections to destinations such as Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK) and Abu Dhabi (AUH). The agreement is intended to simplify transfers, expand schedule options and offer seamless ticketing across both carriers.

“We are glad to welcome Bulgaria Air as our 20th codeshare partner,” said Stephan Nagel, senior vice president of alliance and cooperation, airberlin. “Our guests will benefit considerably from the extended flight program and the improved connections on European and long-haul routes.”
