ROOST Rainey Hotel has opened in Austin as the brand’s first Texas location, bringing its design-driven short-term stay concept to one of the city’s liveliest neighborhoods. The 59-unit property blends ROOST’s boutique hospitality approach with residential comforts and contemporary interiors designed for both short and extended visits.
The hotel offers a range of fully furnished accommodations — from studios to four-bedroom apartment-style units — each arranged to feel like a home away from home while delivering the services and polish of a boutique hotel. Every suite includes a full kitchen, in-unit laundry, ROOST’s premium in-room coffee setup with Bonavita coffeemakers and Capresso grinders, curated vintage and custom furniture, and 24-hour concierge service.

The property also features an elevated collection of on-site food and beverage concepts and flexible spaces that cater to both leisure travelers and those staying for longer periods.

The interiors were developed in collaboration with LV Collective, Method Co and ZZ Driggs, taking cues from the Rainey Street Historic District’s heritage. The design uses layered textures, organic materials and warm tones, and features custom artwork by Alex Bodishbaugh. Each unit is individually styled so that no two suites feel the same, delivering a distinct, personal atmosphere.
“ROOST Rainey marks an exciting chapter in our continued national expansion,” said Randall Cook, co-founder and CEO of Method Co. “Our aim is to create beautifully designed, highly livable spaces that are rooted in their surroundings. With Paseo and Rainey Street as our backdrop, we’re welcoming travelers to a hotel experience that reflects Austin’s spirit and energy.”
Among the amenities available to guests are a 12th-floor pool deck with views over Lady Bird Lake, bar service and cabanas, a fitness center offering reformer Pilates and yoga studios, cold plunges and saunas. Business travelers and remote workers can use two floors of coworking space equipped with private pods and conference rooms.

Paseo’s Artist-in-Residence program brings rotating cultural activations to the property, while the ground-floor and rooftop dining concepts position the hotel within one of Austin’s emerging culinary scenes. Daydreamer Coffee on the ground floor offers a coworking-friendly environment with warm interiors, natural light, lounge seating and a menu of coffees, seasonal beverages and pastries from local baker Texas French Bread, along with a curated wine selection. On the 12th floor, Amaya serves modern, Mediterranean-inspired shareable plates and lighter fare in a relaxed rooftop setting.
The hotel’s finishes and furnishings echo Austin’s architectural character and the neighborhood’s Mexican-American heritage. Handcrafted details, subtle textures, vintage rugs and natural materials appear alongside white oak cabinetry, grey matte countertops and statement pendant lighting above kitchen islands. Upholstery in velvet and leather, handmade tiles and vintage pieces from Austin-based Four Hands emphasize regional craftsmanship and the project’s sustainability priorities. ROOST Rainey is also pursuing LEED Silver certification and an Austin Energy Green Building 3-Star rating.
