Hilton has announced plans for a new-build Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country and Waldorf Astoria Residences Texas Hill Country, both scheduled to open in 2027. Located less than two hours from Austin and San Antonio, the resort will combine luxury hotel accommodations with branded residences across a 106-acre property overlooking Baron’s Creek and the rolling Texas Hill Country.
The development will feature 60 dedicated hotel guestrooms and suites and 37 branded, multibedroom resort villas that can participate in a hotel rental program, effectively adding 74 keys. In addition, 50 private branded residences will be offered, including single-story estates, villas and cottage-style “Sunday homes” ranging from three to five bedrooms, with custom options available for buyers seeking personalization and high-end finishes.

Design for the resort is a collaboration between FAB Studio, Studio CABAN, TIPLER Group, Studio Outside and Paul Duesing Partners. The teams focused on honoring the natural landscape of the Texas Hill Country, ensuring that accommodations and public areas provide ample opportunities to enjoy the surrounding vistas, water features and native plantings.
On-site amenities will include five food and beverage venues, an 11,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, two resort-style pools and outdoor courtyards designed for relaxation and social gatherings. Guests will also find specialty programming, sports courts, a kids’ club, plus versatile event spaces: about 6,000 square feet of indoor meeting rooms and a 4,000-square-foot event barn suitable for weddings and gatherings.

Fifty residences are positioned along the property edge to maximize waterside views and direct sightlines to the creek and hills. The resort’s location invites guests to explore the broader Texas Hill Country, including nearby vineyards, farms and fields of seasonal wildflowers.
Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country will expand Waldorf Astoria’s portfolio, joining more than 30 existing properties worldwide and additional hotels currently in development. This opening follows other recent brand announcements and planned debuts in global destinations.
