TripAdvisor Awards Jackson Hole Hotel GreenLeader Status

Jackson Hole’s Bentwood Inn has been awarded TripAdvisor’s Platinum GreenLeaders status, the highest level given by the travel-review site. This recognition joins the inn’s growing list of honors and highlights its commitment to sustainable hospitality and environmental stewardship.

“As a long-standing Gold level GreenLeader, we are especially honored to be recognized by TripAdvisor as a Platinum GreenLeader — their highest certification — for our continuing focus on operating a sustainable luxury inn in Jackson Hole, and helping preserve the unique Yellowstone ecosystem we are privileged to share with guests,” said Bob Schrader, innkeeper at the Bentwood Inn.

TripAdvisor’s GreenLeaders program helps travelers identify environmentally friendly lodging options by verifying that properties meet established environmental standards. Those standards were developed in consultation with partners such as the United Nations Environment Programme, the U.S. Green Building Council, ENERGY STAR and the International Centre for Responsible Tourism Canada.

To earn Platinum status, properties must demonstrate strong commitments across multiple areas, including energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction and use of sustainable materials and practices. The designation signals to travelers that the inn has adopted meaningful measures to reduce its environmental footprint while still providing high-quality guest experiences.

The Bentwood Inn’s recognition reflects ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into daily operations, from energy-saving systems and efficient heating to responsible sourcing and waste management strategies. These practices aim to protect the local landscape and wildlife around Jackson Hole and contribute to the long-term health of the Yellowstone ecosystem.
