WestJet and Aeromexico have signed a codeshare agreement to give travelers more choice and smoother connections. Under the new partnership, Aeromexico customers gain additional connecting options through Montreal (YUL), Toronto (YYZ) and Vancouver (YVR) to more than 10 Canadian destinations, including Calgary (YYC), Edmonton (YEG), Winnipeg (YWG), Ottawa (YOW), Halifax (YHZ), Deer Lake (YDF) and St. John’s (YYT).
WestJet passengers will likewise benefit with expanded access from WestJet’s Canadian network to Mexico City (MEX) via Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. In addition to codeshare services, WestJet will offer direct flights between Mexico and the Canadian hubs of Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
As part of the agreement, both carriers will sell tickets across each other’s networks—covering both codeshare and non-codeshare flights—and provide through check-in for baggage to passengers’ final destinations, simplifying connections and reducing transit hassle.
This collaboration strengthens the route options between Canada and Mexico, improves connectivity through major Canadian gateways and enhances the overall travel experience by offering more seamless itineraries for passengers on both airlines.
