St. Regis Mexico City Opens Employee Salon and Fitness Room

The St. Regis Mexico sets a new standard for employee wellbeing with the introduction of the Glamour Salon and the Astor Fitness Room. These dedicated beauty and fitness facilities are available exclusively to the hotel’s 400 staff members, reflecting the brand’s commitment to caring for its team.

By providing private spaces where associates can relax and recharge, the hotel follows Bill Marriott’s long-held belief: “Take care of associates, and they will take care of your customers.” This people-first philosophy, championed by the founder of Marriott International, has helped the company earn recognition worldwide for its workplace culture.

The Astor Fitness Room makes The St. Regis Mexico the first hotel in the country to provide employees with a private, fully equipped exercise space. The fitness area includes modern cardiovascular equipment—three ellipticals, two exercise bikes and four treadmills—along with free weights and a flexible open area designed for Zumba, yoga and meditation classes. The fitness room is accessible daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Glamour Salon offers a range of grooming and beauty services tailored to staff needs, such as hair straightening and curling, haircuts and manicures. The salon operates Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., ensuring team members can fit self-care into their schedules around work shifts.
