Liligo Introduces Multi-Modal Search for Smarter Travel Planning

The website liligo.com has introduced a multi-modal global travel comparison feature that lets travelers compare flights, buses and trains in a single search. The integrated search consolidates options across transportation types so users can quickly find the best combination of price, duration and departure time without checking multiple sites.

Users can filter results by mode of transportation, departure time, trip duration and price. The platform aggregates hundreds of itineraries, enabling travelers to design efficient routes—whether they need the fastest connection, the cheapest fare, or a specific departure window. This functionality is particularly valuable in regions with dense transport networks, such as Europe, where viable journeys often combine different carriers and modes.

“We believe in transparency and in offering travelers choices, which is why we decided to expand our proposition to include buses and trains,” said Mario Gavira, managing director of liligo.com. The multi-modal search aims to simplify trip planning by presenting all relevant options in one place, returning control to both business and leisure travelers.

Previously, liligo’s search tools focused on flights, hotels and car rentals and supported more than 500,000 searches per day via hundreds of partner websites. The addition of buses and trains broadens that service, letting users compare complete door-to-door journeys as well as individual segments.

“From quick weekend getaways to family visits, finding the most convenient and affordable mode of transportation in one search can be difficult and time consuming,” said Eric Urbain, general manager for the U.S. at liligo.com. “Our goal is to make planning a trip easier and to provide travelers with the most comprehensive search tool out there.”

liligo.com is available through web browsers and an Android app, with an iOS app scheduled for release this summer.
