Air Canada will introduce a premium-economy cabin on select international routes and expand its low-cost Rouge brand. Starting this summer, five Boeing 777s joining the fleet over the next year will include a dedicated premium-economy section offering larger seats, increased legroom, enhanced meal service, complimentary bar service and priority check-in.
In addition to adding premium-economy, the airline is growing Rouge, its discount carrier. Rouge launches in July with four aircraft and will receive six more planes before the end of the year to support expanded low-cost international and leisure routes.
