Turnberry Isle Miami, formerly part of the Autograph Collection, reopens this winter as JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa following a major expansion. A new 16-story Orchid Tower adds more than 300 guestrooms, bringing the resort’s total accommodations to 685 guestrooms and suites.
Mitzi Gaskins, vice president and global brand leader for JW Marriott, says the property strengthens the brand’s luxury portfolio while reflecting Miami’s vibrant culture. The redesign focuses on delivering elevated, sophisticated experiences from arrival to departure, with personalized service that aligns with the JW Marriott standard.
Jeffrey Soffer, co-chairman of Turnberry Resort & Spa, describes the Orchid Tower as the next evolution for the resort. He highlights the combination of critically acclaimed dining, a world-class 36 holes of championship golf, and the resort’s reputation for wellness and spa excellence through the âme Spa & Wellness Collective. The new tower’s thoughtfully designed rooms and suites are intended to further elevate the guest experience and reinforce the resort’s commitment to redefining luxury.
The redesign draws inspiration from Miami’s Art Deco heritage, blending spa-like elegance with a strong sense of place. Interiors use an ivory base palette complemented by blue and brown accents to create a serene, coastal ambiance. Guestroom types in the Orchid Tower range from double rooms to a two-bedroom penthouse, with Art Deco influences evident in furnishings and finishes. Bathrooms feature Alabama white marble walls and floors, reinforcing a classic yet refreshed aesthetic.
The expansion also supports the resort’s culinary and wellness offerings, giving guests more options for dining and relaxation alongside expanded lodging capacity. With its mix of design-driven rooms, upscale amenities, and signature service, the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa aims to attract leisure and business travelers seeking a refined Miami getaway.
Rates for guestrooms in the new Orchid Tower start at $529.
