Thai Airways Adds Direct Flights Between Bangkok and Vienna

Thai Airways has launched its new non-stop Bangkok (DMK)–Vienna (VIE) route, adding Vienna as the carrier’s 13th European destination.

The service operates four times weekly — Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Flight time from Bangkok to Vienna is approximately 11 hours 30 minutes, while the return leg takes about 10 hours. Departures from Bangkok are scheduled at 1:30 a.m., arriving in Vienna at 7:00 a.m. local time. The Vienna-to-Bangkok return departs at 1:30 p.m. and arrives in Thailand the following morning at 5:20 a.m.

Prior to the new direct connection, many travelers combined Thai Airways service to Frankfurt (FRA) with onward rail travel to Vienna. The new route provides a direct alternative alongside existing options.

Star Alliance partner Austrian Airlines continues to operate a daily non-stop service between the two capitals, offering additional scheduling flexibility for passengers.

With Vienna added to its network, Thai Airways’ European destinations now include Copenhagen (CPH), Oslo (OSL), Brussels (BRU), Paris (CDG), Frankfurt (FRA), Munich (MUC), Zurich (ZRH), Stockholm (ARN), London (LHR), Rome (FCO), Milan (MXP) and Moscow (DME).
