Inside The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection: Luxury Redefined at Sea

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection offers thoughtfully designed itineraries and shore excursions that combine luxury service with immersive cultural experiences.

“The itineraries and intimate shore experiences are not only unique and forward-thinking in their design, but illustrate our commitment to providing rare opportunities to today’s luxury traveler,” said Lisa Holladay, global brand leader, The Ritz-Carlton. “Combining The Ritz-Carlton’s unparalleled service with journeys created specifically to offer immersion into the culture of the destination, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will set a new standard in sea travel and redefine the yachting experience.”

Voyages vary in route and length, typically lasting seven to ten days. The collection’s first ship will operate seasonally across regions including the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Canada and Northern Europe, calling at ports from Barbados and Cartagena to Bordeaux and Copenhagen.

“The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection itineraries and programs on land were created with the yachting lifestyle in mind and will offer a relaxed pace and intimate, highly personalized experiences on shore,” said Douglas Prothero, managing director, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. “We are thrilled to share the curated voyages and look forward to introducing guests to the local cultures of each destination through our Shore Collection while offering the best luxury accommodations at sea.”

Shore excursions are organized into five themed categories to suit diverse interests:

  • Iconic Sights — Visits to cultural, historic and architectural landmarks.
  • Stirring the Senses — Wellness and wellbeing activities designed to refresh and inspire.
  • Cultural Connections — Opportunities to engage in philanthropic and community-focused experiences.
  • Active Explorations — Outdoor adventures and active pursuits for the adventurous traveler.
  • Epicurean Experiences — Curated dining and beverage events highlighting regional cuisine and fine dining.

In addition to these curated options, on-board concierges are available to design bespoke shore excursions tailored to individual preferences.

The first Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection ship is scheduled to begin sailing in November 2019. The yacht accommodates up to 298 guests across 149 suites. Reservations open in June, with priority booking available in May for Ritz-Carlton and Marriott Rewards members.
