Westin Opens Its First Hotel in the Dominican Republic

The first Westin in the Dominican Republic has opened its doors in the Playa Blanca area of Puntacana Resort & Club, just minutes from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). The new beachfront property features 200 guestrooms and suites, many with ocean views and direct access to the sand.

Designed for both relaxation and activity, the hotel offers a large outdoor pool with a poolside grill, a welcoming lobby bar, a dedicated children’s club and a cigar bar. For business and fitness needs, the property includes a 24-hour business center and a well-equipped fitness center, as well as walking trails for guests who prefer outdoor exercise. Meeting and event space is available for conferences and social gatherings.

Guests staying at the Westin also enjoy full access to the wide range of amenities across Puntacana Resort & Club. The resort spans three miles of white-sand beaches and features 45 holes of championship golf, a full-service marina and nine on-site restaurants. Additional offerings include a spa, horseback riding and a 1,500-acre ecological reserve that contains 12 freshwater lagoons, providing ample opportunities for nature exploration and relaxation.
