The Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai opened last week as the sixth property in the Bvlgari hospitality collection.
Located on the riverside near expansive green spaces and major shopping and attractions, the hotel occupies part of a 48-story tower and offers sweeping views of the Bund and the Pudong skyline. The design blends Bvlgari’s signature Italian elegance with contemporary Chinese elements and cultural references, most notably showcased in the fine-dining restaurant and the ballroom, which are housed in the carefully restored Chamber of Commerce Shanghai.
“For travelers seeking a VIP experience in Shanghai where Italian style meets Asian hospitality, Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai stands out,” said Albert Herrera, senior vice president of global product partnerships at Virtuoso. “Both cultures excel in their respective traditions, and their union here creates something distinct. Elevated views across the Bund reflect Shanghai’s history while Bvlgari’s modern, chic interiors provide a refined contrast.”
The hotel features 63 guest rooms and 19 suites. Rooms on the top eight floors deliver exceptional panoramas and include amenities such as walk-in closets, marble soaking tubs, rain showers and heated toilets, all designed for comfort and privacy.
Service and amenities emphasize luxury and convenience: complimentary Maserati limousine transfers, in-room check-in, access to carbon-fiber MOMO bikes, and a signature turndown service with tea infusions. Guests can also join curated art and history tours that highlight local heritage and the hotel’s connection to the city.
Dining at Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai spans six on-site outlets, including a contemporary Italian restaurant led by a Michelin-starred chef and a high-end Chinese restaurant offering refined regional cuisine. The hotel’s wellness facilities include a spa and fitness center with eight treatment rooms, vitality pools, salt saunas, steam rooms, rainforest showers, dedicated fitness studios and an indoor swimming pool, creating a comprehensive environment for relaxation and well-being.
