Park Hyatt Vienna Reopens: Inside the Luxurious New Look

Park Hyatt opens its first hotel in Austria on June 1. Park Hyatt Vienna is housed in a carefully restored 100-year-old building that once served as the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy Bank. Located in Vienna’s pedestrian-only Golden Quarter shopping district, the hotel offers 143 rooms and 35 suites, blending historical character with contemporary luxury.

The design emphasizes Art Nouveau details throughout the property: polished inlaid wood, hand-selected Italian and Greek marble, fine leathers and bespoke carpets contribute to an elegant, layered interior. A standout feature is the indoor pool, thoughtfully placed within the building’s original bank vault, creating a dramatic contrast between past and present.

Dining and social spaces include four distinct outlets. The Bank serves as the hotel’s main restaurant, offering refined meals in a grand setting. The Pearl presents a tapas-style menu focused on small plates and shared flavors. The Lounge provides a relaxed atmosphere for afternoon tea and light pastries, while The Living Room specializes in single-malt whiskeys and a curated cigar selection.

For meetings and events, Park Hyatt Vienna provides approximately 6,900 square feet of flexible function space, suitable for corporate gatherings, receptions and private events. Wellness facilities center on the Arany Spa, which includes six treatment rooms, a well-equipped fitness center and a dedicated wet area for relaxation and recovery.

The hotel’s opening coincides with several notable Vienna events, including the 150th anniversary of the Ringstrasse, making it an appealing option for visitors drawn by city celebrations, culture and architecture.
