Munich Airport’s annual Christmas Market will open for the holiday season on Nov. 21, celebrating its 17th year. This festive market combines traditional Bavarian craft stalls, seasonal food, live entertainment and family activities, with special appearances from St. Nick and top national figure skaters among the season’s highlights.
The market is set up inside the Munich Airport Center and features 50 vendor booths offering Bavarian handcrafted goods, regional treats and gift items. The shopping area is framed by around 400 live Christmas trees, creating a festive atmosphere for visitors. A central attraction is the ice rink, which remains popular with families and skaters; this year a dedicated Bavarian curling area will be added so guests can try a different winter sport.
Throughout the market’s run more than 40 bands and solo performers will provide daily live music and entertainment. In addition to musical acts, the schedule includes a variety of seasonal events and activities designed for both children and adults, from skating shows to traditional holiday performances.
The market opens on Nov. 21 and runs through Dec. 27. Weekday hours are from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., while weekend hours begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 9 p.m. Visitors can plan their trip around performances and special events by checking the Munich Airport events schedule.
