Every year AmaWaterways’ Latin Touch program dedicates a sailing specifically to Spanish-speaking travelers. Due to continuing strong demand, the cruise line has added a second Latin Touch itinerary for 2025: the Swiss Alps & Rhine & Castle Christmas cruise, joining the previously announced Latin Touch Enticing Douro.

The Swiss Alps & Rhine & Castle Christmas cruise departs Basel, Switzerland on December 15, 2025, for an eight-day voyage aboard the 162-guest AmaVenita. The itinerary sails through Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands, timed to coincide with the cities’ holiday décor and renowned Christmas markets. Markets feature in every port of call, including highlights such as the Market of Cologne Cathedral, the Marché de Noël de Baden-Baden and Heidelberg’s Marktplatz.
This Latin Touch sailing will be led by a bilingual Cruise Manager and includes daily shore excursions with Spanish-speaking guides, Spanish-language daily cruise programs, newsletters and menus. Onboard activities tailored to the Spanish-speaking community include Zumba classes and two evenings of Latin-inspired entertainment.

Beyond the festive markets, the cruise offers a range of shore excursions: a multi-country walking tour that visits Switzerland, France and Germany; a wine tasting focused on the vineyards of Rüdesheim; a panoramic walking tour of Strasbourg; a guided visit to Cologne Cathedral; and a canal cruise in Amsterdam.
