This year’s results are especially meaningful as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of honoring the best brands, services and experiences in travel—driven entirely by votes from our readers.
For two decades our readers—seasoned travelers who know quality when they see it—have chosen the standouts across airlines, airports, hotels, loyalty programs, credit cards and more. Your votes determine these annual honors, and we look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come.

Airlines lead the list of winners that move us around the globe. Singapore Airlines again claims Best Overall Airline in the World, marking its third straight year at the top. Oneworld wins Best Airline Alliance for the 14th time. American Airlines earns multiple honors including Best Airline Website (aa.com), Best Airline for Domestic First Class and Best Frequent-Flyer Customer Service for its AAdvantage program, while the Boeing 787 is voted Best Aircraft Type.
All Nippon Airways is recognized as the Fastest-Growing Airline, Trans-Pacific. Air France takes home awards for Best Airline for International First Class, Best Flight Attendant Uniforms and Best First-Class Seat Design, each for the second year running. Turkish Airlines continues to dominate business-class categories and airport service, while Asiana Airlines receives long-running recognition for onboard service and cabin crew. Korean Air is honored for its cuisine and business-class seat design, and Delta’s Sky Club is voted Best Airline Lounges while Delta also wins Best Airline App.
In North America, Air Canada scores top marks for cabin cleanliness and again wins Best Airline in North America. United Airlines collects multiple accolades through its MileagePlus program, including Best Overall Frequent-Flyer Program. United is also recognized as Best Trans-Atlantic Airline, while Cathay Pacific is named Best Trans-Pacific Airline.

Regional winners highlight the best carriers around the world: LATAM Airlines Group is Best Airline to South & Central America; Aeromexico tops Mexico for the 14th consecutive year; Air Tahiti Nui is Best in the South Pacific; TAP Air Portugal is Best Airline in Europe for a 13th time; LOT Polish Airlines is Best in Eastern Europe; Royal Air Maroc leads in Africa; Gulf Air is Best in the Middle East; China Airlines is Best in North Asia (excluding China) for the fifth year; Air India is Best in Central/South Asia & India for a 10th straight year; Japan Airlines is Best Airline to Japan for the third year in a row; Xiamen Airlines is Best in China; and Qantas is Best in Australia and New Zealand.
Airports are the next focus. iGA Istanbul Airport takes Best Overall Airport in the World for the first time and also wins Best Airport in Europe, Best Airport Dining, Best Airport Shopping (second year) and Best Duty-Free Shopping in Europe (two years running). Chicago O’Hare International Airport is voted Best Airport in North America for the 20th year—an unmatched streak. Other airport winners include Hamad International Airport, Incheon International Airport, El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, O.R. Tambo International Airport, Sarasota Bradenton SRQ (Fastest-Growing U.S. Airport) and Dubai Duty Free, which again earns Best Duty-Free Shopping in the World.
Hotels and hotel brands are recognized for service, design and loyalty. Address Hotel Downtown, Dubai is named Best Individual Hotel in the World. InterContinental Hotels & Resorts wins Best International Hotel Chain and Best Domestic Hotel Chain, while its IHG One Rewards program is voted Best Hotel Rewards Program in the World and Best Frequent-Stay Elite-Level Program for Diamond Elite. Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors and other major programs receive top honors across app, redemption and customer-service categories. Notable regional hotel winners include The Peninsula Beverly Hills (Best Hotel in the United States), Mandarin Oriental, Taipei (Best Hotel in Asia), Six Senses Douro Valley (Best Hotel in Europe) and Emirates Palace (Best Hotel in the Middle East).
Beyond airlines, airports and hotels, the survey recognized brands that support the journey. Volvo wins Best Overseas Delivery Program for the eighth consecutive year. Hertz is voted Best Rental Car Company for the third straight year, and The Parking Spot earns Best Airport Parking for the fifth consecutive year. Greece is again named Best Tourism Destination, and Seoul receives Best MICE City for the ninth year. Intelsat (Gogo Commercial Aviation) is voted Best WiFi Service, Briggs & Riley is Best Luggage Brand, Allianz Travel is Best Travel Insurance Company, and Alaska Railroad is Best Rail Service/Provider.
Co-branded credit cards and travel cards are also highlighted. The United Club Infinite Card from Chase is voted Best Overall Credit Card as well as Best Credit Card Rewards Program and Best Frequent-Flyer Affinity Credit Card Promotions. The United Explorer Card from Chase is lauded for frequent-flyer redemptions. Several Marriott, IHG and Alaska Airlines cards receive awards across benefits, promotions and redemption categories. Bank-issued cruise and affinity cards are recognized for their value and special offerings.

THE VOTING PROCESS
Open-ended ballots ran in subscriber copies of Global Traveler and online from Dec. 6, 2022, through Aug. 31, 2023. Ballots were also distributed via direct mail and email during that period. Submissions with fewer than 50 percent of fields completed were disqualified. Employees of FX Express Publications, Inc. and affiliated travel-industry members were not eligible to vote.
