Velaa Private Island in the Maldives has unveiled Eveylaa Wellbeing, a new spa facility located within the resort’s Wellbeing Village. The addition expands the island’s commitment to holistic health and personalised wellness experiences.
Eveylaa Wellbeing blends traditional healing practices with modern medical and therapeutic approaches. Core offerings draw from Ayurveda and Eastern medicine, including Shirodhara, Ayurvedic beds and steam rooms infused with medicinal herbs. These traditional therapies are complemented by advanced treatments such as personalised medical diagnostics provided by visiting medical professionals, a sensory floating pod and a range of osteopathic therapies. The resort maintains a rotating roster of doctors, osteopaths and therapists to ensure tailored care.

The Wellbeing Village features several dedicated spaces for movement and mindful practice, including an open-air yoga pavilion and a temperature-controlled Pilates studio. These facilities support a variety of classes and private sessions designed to restore balance, improve mobility and enhance mental clarity.
Dining at the Wellbeing Village has been reimagined with the new restaurant concept, Faiy, which focuses on balanced, nutritious meals prepared from natural, unprocessed ingredients. Guests can choose from the Fresh menu, which highlights raw, plant-based dishes with Asian-inspired flavours, or the Spa menu, offering low-carbohydrate, vegan, gluten-free and Mediterranean-style options. Beverage choices include mocktails, smoothies, fresh juices and a curated wine list featuring vegan, organic, biodynamic and sustainably certified selections.
Alongside Eveylaa Wellbeing, guests continue to have access to the resort’s existing Velaa Spa, making Velaa Private Island unique in the Maldives for offering a two-spa concept. The dual-spa approach allows visitors to select treatments and settings that best suit their wellness goals, whether they seek traditional therapies, medically informed care or more conventional spa indulgences.

Wayne Milgate, general manager of Velaa Private Island, commented on the development: “There’s no doubt the world has changed since the pandemic, and so too has the way we travel. We’re now seeing guests looking for two things: beautiful destinations and curated experiences that prioritise their health. To negate the stress of everyday life, people are increasingly seeking out luxury wellbeing retreats in inspiring locations, combining relaxation with rejuvenation. Rather than seen as indulgence, wellbeing is now non-negotiable.”
With Eveylaa Wellbeing and the existing Velaa Spa, the resort caters to a wide range of wellness preferences—from immersive, tradition-based healing and personalised medical support to modern fitness and restorative spa treatments. The Wellbeing Village aims to offer an integrated approach to health that supports both immediate relaxation and long-term wellbeing.
