Hilton Rebrands San Juan Conrad Hotel as New Luxury Destination

Hilton Worldwide has announced that the Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza has been renamed and rebranded as The Condado Plaza Hilton. The 571-room property now becomes part of the Hilton portfolio, joining more than 550 Hilton hotels and resorts operating in 79 countries across six continents. This move also marks the fourth Hilton-branded hotel on the island of Puerto Rico.

“Puerto Rico holds special significance to Hilton Hotels & Resorts,” said Danny Hughes, senior vice president of Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America for Hilton Worldwide. “Hilton International began with the opening of the Caribe Hilton in San Juan in 1949, and the company later included the San Geronimo Hilton in its portfolio. We are proud to reconnect this hotel with its roots, both as The Condado Plaza and as a member of Hilton Hotels & Resorts.”

The Condado Plaza Hilton adds to Hilton’s presence on the island alongside other properties, including the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, El San Juan Resort & Casino, A Hilton Hotel, and the Hilton Ponce Golf & Casino Resort. As part of the Hilton family, the Condado Plaza will have access to Hilton’s global distribution, loyalty program benefits, and brand standards while continuing to serve guests with the property’s existing amenities and local character.

The rebranding reflects a broader strategy by Hilton to strengthen its offerings in the Caribbean and Latin America, where demand for full-service resorts and urban hotels remains strong. For travelers to Puerto Rico, the Condado Plaza Hilton provides another option for those seeking a blend of island charm and the consistency expected from an internationally recognized brand.
