Jean Imbert Becomes Head Chef at Hôtel Plaza Athénée’s La Cour Jardin

Following the success of his other two venues, Chef Jean Imbert has opened Jean Imbert au Plaza Athénée’s summer restaurant, La Cour Jardin, his third dining concept at Hôtel Plaza Athénée. Nestled in the hotel’s picturesque courtyard, La Cour Jardin presents a Michelin-starred approach to relaxed, seasonal dining.

Open for the summer season, La Cour Jardin serves a menu rooted in “cuisine de soleil.” The dishes highlight fresh, local and seasonal produce chosen to reflect the bright colors and lively flavors of summertime. Designed for sharing, the menu suits leisurely lunches in the sun and intimate dinners alike.

Chefs Jean Imbert and Jocelyn Herland place seasonal ingredients at the center of the kitchen’s philosophy, drawing on what nature offers in summer. The result is a light, vegetable-forward repertoire that celebrates texture, aroma and balance while keeping the spirit of convivial, shared plates.

The kitchen collaborates closely with market gardeners, fishermen and farmers to ensure produce is sourced responsibly and in season. Vegetables come from a family farm in central France, while tomatoes, aubergines, young shoots, gem lettuces, courgette flowers and melons are supplied from a vegetable garden about an hour from Paris. This close relationship with growers guarantees fresh, traceable ingredients that shape the menu each week.
