Jumeirah Mallorca Reopens Summer 2026: New Luxury Resort Details

Jumeirah Mallorca reopened for the summer season on March 14, inviting guests back to its dramatic clifftop location overlooking Port de Sóller. Nestled between the UNESCO-listed Serra de Tramuntana and the Mediterranean Sea, the hotel’s new season emphasizes cultural programming that connects visitors with the island’s landscapes and local heritage.

The standout event of the season is a rare astronomical occurrence: the total solar eclipse on August 12, which places Jumeirah Mallorca directly in the path of totality. To mark the occasion, the hotel will host a four-day celestial celebration from August 10–14 that blends astronomy, cuisine and wellbeing with carefully curated rituals and experiences.

On eclipse night, festivities begin more than 300 feet above the sea with a lunar-inspired welcome reception. As the sky darkens and the eclipse progresses, specialists from the Astronomy Institute will narrate the event and guide observation. Afterward, guests can choose between a Mediterranean gala at Cap Roig or an elegant Nikkei tasting at Sunset Lounge.

Beginning August 10, the hotel offers an Astronomy Masterclass in partnership with the island-based Astronomy Institute. Using advanced solar telescopes, the masterclass provides expert insight into the science behind the eclipse and the best practices for safe viewing. Throughout the four-day program, participants can also book tailored experiences such as private yacht excursions, dining amid ancient olive groves and restorative wellness treatments designed to complement the celestial theme.

Beyond the eclipse programming, Jumeirah Mallorca’s summer season highlights the hotel’s unique position for exploring the Tramuntana mountains, coastal trails and local culture. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of guided hikes, curated culinary events and wellness offerings that emphasize connection to nature and the island’s traditions. The combination of dramatic scenery, expert-led events and refined dining positions the hotel as a destination for travelers seeking both relaxation and memorable, place-based experiences this summer.
