Le Méridien and Element Downtown Salt Lake City Open January 2023

Salt Lake City, Utah, welcomes two new downtown hotels in 2023: Le Méridien Salt Lake City Downtown and Element Salt Lake City Downtown. Both properties open in mid-January 2023 and represent the city’s first dual-pad development as well as the first pairing of Le Méridien and Element under the Marriott umbrella. Le Méridien Salt Lake City Downtown is also the first Le Méridien hotel in Utah.

Le Méridien offers 144 guestrooms and suites, while Element provides 126 guestrooms and suites, giving travelers a variety of accommodation styles in one location. The property’s signature restaurant, Adelaide, presents a menu inspired by French cuisine and New Orleans flavors. For a more relaxed experience, Van Ryder—Salt Lake City’s first full-scale hotel rooftop venue—serves casual fare and drinks with city views. Guests can also take advantage of a rooftop fitness center that includes an outdoor pool, cardio equipment, strength-training machines and Peloton bikes.

Together the properties offer 8,355 square feet of flexible event space, including two meeting rooms and a pre-function area suitable for conferences, receptions and private events. The hotels are conveniently located about six miles from the airport, adjacent to Vivint Arena—the home of the Utah Jazz—and just steps from the Salt Palace Convention Center, making them well positioned for both business and leisure travelers.
