GETTING THERE
Located west of central Incheon on Yeongjong Island, Incheon International Airport is South Korea’s largest airport and the main hub for carriers such as Asiana Airlines, Korean Air and Jeju Air. Taxi service to downtown typically costs around $22–25 and takes roughly 35 minutes depending on traffic. For rail connections, the Incheon Airport Railroad Express (AREX) links the airport with multiple stops between Incheon and Seoul Station; fares are economical, with short trips under $1 and a trip to Seoul Station costing about $3.50.
GETTING AROUND
The Incheon Subway, operated by Incheon Transit Corporation, offers a single subway line covering 29 stations across the city and connects to the Seoul Metropolitan Subway at Bupyeong Station. Fares are affordable, with an initial distance priced at about $0.90 and modest incremental costs thereafter. A comprehensive local bus network serves nearly every neighborhood in Incheon, with typical fares starting near $2.30. Taxis are widely available with base fares beginning around $2.30 and rising with distance.
