Starwood Hotels & Resorts has introduced its eco-conscious Element Hotels brand with the opening of Element Vaughan Southwest. Situated in Vaughan, Ontario, just outside Toronto, the hotel offers 152 guestrooms, each equipped with a fully appointed gourmet kitchen ideal for extended stays.
The property includes a 24-hour fitness center featuring Element’s signature stationary bike charging station, which allows guests to power personal electronic devices while they exercise. Complimentary daily breakfast is provided, and business travelers can make use of an on-site business center. For meetings and events, the hotel offers 3,500 square feet of flexible space suitable for conferences, receptions and other functions.
Following this opening, Starwood planned additional Element hotel launches in several international markets: Vancouver and Frankfurt in 2014, Suzhou, China in 2015, and Calgary in 2016, continuing the brand’s growth in both North America and abroad.
