Norwegian Reward Opens New Online Shop for Members

Norwegian Rewards has launched an e-shop in the United Kingdom that allows members to earn Cashpoints when shopping online with nearly 1,000 UK retailers.

The new online shop operates much like other airline reward stores, letting members collect Cashpoints that can be redeemed for Norwegian flights or ancillary services such as checked baggage. Participating retailers include well-known names such as John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Tesco and Argos.

“Norwegian Reward is rapidly expanding its partner network in the United Kingdom to give members more choice and help their money go further when flying with Norwegian,” said Brede Huser, senior vice president of Norwegian Reward. “This is the first time we are giving our UK members a fast and simple way to earn Cashpoints from everyday online purchases at nearly 1,000 leading retailers. Now Norwegian Reward members can convert Cashpoints earned from their weekly grocery shop into high-quality, affordable flights across Europe and worldwide with Norwegian.”

Earnings vary by retailer: some offer a percentage of the purchase value back in Cashpoints, while others award a fixed number of Cashpoints per transaction.

To mark the launch, Norwegian is holding a prize draw for customers who make e-shop purchases by May 31. The top prize is 10,000 Cashpoints, and there are five runner-up prizes of 2,000 Cashpoints each.

In addition to the e-shop, Norwegian Reward has recently expanded its points-earning options by adding partnerships with airport parking provider APH and lounge access service LoungePass, giving members more ways to collect Cashpoints when travelling.
