Lufthansa Expands U.S. Routes: New Cities and Flight Options

Lufthansa is expanding its presence across North America and Europe by adding four new routes to its summer timetable.

Starting April 3, the airline will operate five weekly flights from Munich (MUC) to Mexico City (MEX) using its 306-seat Airbus A340-600. This new service complements Lufthansa’s existing daily link between Mexico City and Frankfurt (FRA), giving travelers more options between Germany and Mexico.

From June 5, Lufthansa will introduce daily flights between Munich and Toronto (YYZ). The new Munich–Toronto service will be flown with Airbus A330-300 aircraft featuring the carrier’s latest first- and business-class seats, and it will provide convenient connections to Air Canada at its Toronto hub through the Star Alliance partnership.

Seasonal summer service between Frankfurt and Montreal (YUL) will operate five times weekly from May 16 through October 12. Like the Toronto route, the Frankfurt–Montreal connection is timed to facilitate onward connections with Air Canada’s network.

Closer to home, Lufthansa will expand its European network with daily flights from March 30 between Frankfurt and Valencia (VLC), increasing options for travelers between Germany and Spain.

With these additions, Lufthansa will offer non-stop service to 19 destinations in North America and seven destinations in Spain during the summer schedule, strengthening its transatlantic and intra-European networks.
