Delta Air Lines has introduced new menus for passengers flying from Asia, designed to reflect local flavors and elevate the in-flight dining experience.
The updated offerings appear on all applicable flights and were developed in collaboration with Delta’s culinary consulting partners and chefs Jereme Leung and Norio Ueno. Later this year, Korean chef Woo-Joong Kwon will add regionally inspired selections to further expand the menu variety for customers traveling from the region.
“Dining, no matter where you are, should be an experience that is enjoyed and remembered,” said Allison Ausband, senior vice president of in-flight service at Delta Air Lines. “Ensuring the experience is authentic to local culture as well as delicious guided our approach to creating these menus. That’s why we partnered with chefs Jereme Leung, Norio Ueno and Woo-Joong Kwon, who are highly regarded in their respective countries.”
Chef Jereme Leung draws on his Chinese heritage and international restaurant experience to shape the new dishes. “I look forward to bringing some of my signature dishes and the dining experience from our restaurants around the world to Delta’s guests,” Leung said. “Collaborating with the Delta team to create Chinese cuisine offerings inspired by seasonal ingredients and China’s diverse food traditions has been a rewarding process. I hope guests enjoy the menus as much as I enjoyed designing them.”
Chef Norio Ueno contributes his expertise in Japanese cuisine, focusing on balance, quality of ingredients, and presentation that translate well to the in-flight setting. His contributions aim to provide passengers with refined, familiar flavors that still feel thoughtfully crafted for travel.
Later additions from Chef Woo-Joong Kwon will bring Korean flavors and small bites that reflect regional culinary traditions, adding even more variety for travelers departing Asia. Together, the chefs and Delta’s culinary team have emphasized authentic ingredients, seasonal elements, and dishes that travel well without sacrificing taste.
Delta’s effort to refresh menus for flights from Asia is part of a broader focus on enhancing the passenger experience through improved food and beverage offerings. By partnering with respected regional chefs, the airline aims to deliver meals that resonate with local culture while meeting practical considerations for onboard service.
Passengers can expect thoughtfully composed options that highlight regional tastes and maintain high standards for quality and presentation. These changes reflect Delta’s commitment to making dining a memorable part of the journey for customers flying from Asia.
