Holland America Line and O, The Oprah Magazine have announced a creative partnership that blends travel with the magazine’s focus on connection, well-being and personal growth.

In addition to this launch voyage, the collaboration will introduce O-inspired programming on select Holland America Line North American sailings through 2018. Holland America Line

The partnership brings exclusive, editor-developed activities aboard ship. More than 300 Holland America Line cruises in North America from August 2017 through 2018 will offer engaging events reflecting the magazine’s themes, including meditation and tai chi sessions, healthy cooking demonstrations, and an onboard book club. Members of the SuperSoul 100 thought leadership group will also appear to share inspirational ideas and practical tips for living well.

Orlando Ashford, president of Holland America Line, emphasized the shared mission: “We are deeply honored that O, The Oprah Magazine chose Holland America Line as its first cruise line partner to further our shared belief that travel and wellness have the power to open minds, build connections and inspire shared humanity. Our commitment to providing authentic experiences for our guests is at the forefront of all we do, and this collaboration is going to empower our guests in a whole new way with thought-provoking and enriching activities and content developed together with the experts at O, The Oprah Magazine.”

To launch the partnership, the magazine planned a March 2017 contest awarding three readers the chance to join the inaugural Alaska cruise with Oprah and Gayle.

The Share the Adventure Cruise schedule includes the inaugural Alaska sailing July 15–22. Additional voyages feature an 11-day Southern Caribbean cruise beginning Nov. 29; a seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruise beginning March 3, 2018; a seven-day Alaska cruise beginning Aug. 11, 2018; and a seven-day Western Caribbean cruise beginning Oct. 28, 2018. Each sailing will showcase specially curated O-style programming designed to enhance relaxation, connection and personal enrichment for guests.
