Copa Airlines Expands Network: New Routes and Destinations

Copa Airlines has announced an expansion of its route network with three new routes scheduled to begin in the first half of this year. The airline will add direct service from its hub at Tocumen International Airport (PTY) in Panama City to Montreal (YUL), Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Georgetown, Guyana (GEO).

Starting June 3, Copa will operate four weekly round-trip flights to Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, marking Copa’s second Canadian destination alongside Toronto (YYZ). Then, from July 11, the carrier will launch four weekly round trips to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, increasing Copa’s U.S. network to 10 destinations. Also beginning July 11, Copa will offer two weekly round trips to Cheddi Jagan International Airport, providing direct connections to Georgetown, the capital of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.

With these additions, Copa’s network will grow to 69 destinations across North, Central and South America and the Caribbean, strengthening connectivity through its Panama City hub and offering more travel options for passengers across the region.
