Exciting news for TAP Air Portugal: the airline will launch a new Economy Prime cabin that provides passengers with more space, greater privacy and an elevated travel experience. Flights featuring Economy Prime begin June 1, and bookings are now open through TAP’s official channels and travel agents.
Economy Prime bridges the gap between standard economy and business class and will be available on both Airbus A330 and A321LR aircraft. The cabin contains 12 seats located directly behind business class, arranged in four seats per row. To ensure added comfort and privacy, the aisle-side seat in each group will remain empty, creating a quieter, more relaxed layout for travelers.

The Economy Prime experience begins before boarding with enhanced airport services such as dedicated premium check-in, priority baggage handling, Fast Track security access and priority boarding. These features are designed to make the entire journey—from airport arrival to destination—smoother and more efficient.
Onboard, Economy Prime passengers can expect an attentive, personalized service and thoughtful amenities. The offering includes a premium main meal with two hot entrée choices, the option to pre-select meals up to 24 hours before departure, an amenity kit and a premium pillow for added comfort.
